General Testing Terms

These General Testing Terms apply to all testing, sampling and related services provided by Drilltech Mühendislik Ltd. (“DrillTech”, “we”, “us”), unless otherwise agreed in writing. By placing an order, the client accepts these terms.

1. Requests and Quotations

Our quotations are valid for the period stated on them. Before work starts, we agree with the client the scope of work, test methods, number and location of tests, and any specification against which the results are to be assessed. Any deviation from a standard method is agreed with the client in writing before it is applied and is stated in the report.

2. Sampling

Where we take samples or test on site, we follow the agreed method and record the location and relevant conditions. Where samples are supplied by the client, the client is responsible for the sampling and for the information provided about them, and the results apply to the samples as received. In all cases, results relate only to the items tested.

3. Sample Retention and Disposal

After testing, samples and test specimens are retained for a defined period and then disposed of, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing before testing. Samples may be partly or wholly consumed during testing.

4. Site Access and Safety

  • The client provides safe access to the test locations at the agreed time.
  • Where required, the client arranges excavation, traffic management and any necessary permits.
  • Before coring or drilling, the client provides information on buried or embedded services, such as electricity, water and telecommunication lines, reinforcement and other hazards.
  • We may postpone or stop work where conditions are unsafe.

5. Failed Tests and Retesting

If results do not meet the specified requirements, for example in field compaction testing, the client may request retesting after remedial work. Retests requiring a new site visit are charged as a separate service.

6. Reports

  • Reports are issued for the client named on them.
  • Reports may be reproduced only in full; partial reproduction requires our written approval.
  • Results relate only to the items tested.
  • The electronically issued report is the original; printed versions are copies.
  • Statements of conformity with a specification are given only where agreed with the client in advance.

7. Payment

Fees and payment terms are as stated in the quotation. Prices exclude VAT unless otherwise stated.

8. Liability

We perform our services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or in connection with a service is limited to the fee paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue, production or contracts, or costs of delay. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

9. Confidentiality

We keep client information and results confidential, as described on our Quality and Impartiality page.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of North Cyprus (KKTC), and the courts of North Cyprus have jurisdiction over any dispute.
