Concrete and aggregate testing

Does the concrete delivered meet the specification, and are the aggregates fit for use? We test fresh concrete on site, and hardened specimens, aggregates and paving blocks in our laboratory.

Used forConcrete, aggregates for concrete and roads, paving blocks

We test fresh concrete on site and hardened concrete specimens in our laboratory, together with aggregates for concrete and road construction and concrete paving blocks. Compressive strength is determined on our UTEST 2000 kN machine, verified as Class 1 to TS EN 12390-4:2025.

Why it matters

Fresh concrete tests on delivery confirm that consistence and air content meet the specification before the concrete is placed, while rejection is still possible. Compressive strength results on standard specimens are the basis of conformity assessment for concrete. Aggregate grading, cleanliness, particle shape and fragmentation resistance directly affect the strength, workability and durability of concrete and road layers.

What you receive

  • Test report to the relevant standard for each sample or set of specimens
  • Sample identification: date, pour location or element, and supplier or source
  • Grading curves and a summary table of aggregate properties
  • Calibration certificate for our compression machine on request

What we need from you

  • Your pour and delivery schedule, the location or element of each pour, and safe access to the delivery point
  • Specification requirements: concrete class, consistence and air content limits, and aggregate requirements
  • The test ages required for cubes or cylinders
  • Aggregate samples delivered to our laboratory; we confirm the quantity needed when quoting
  • The supplier or source of each concrete, aggregate or paving block sample

Frequently asked questions

Can you test fresh concrete when the truck arrives on site?

Yes. We measure slump, density and air content on delivery, so consistence and air content are checked against the specification before the concrete is placed, while rejection is still possible. We work on weekdays and weekends around your pour schedule.

Which machine do you use for compressive strength?

We test cubes and cylinders to TS EN 12390-3:2019 on our UTEST 2000 kN machine, verified as Class 1 to TS EN 12390-4:2025. Its calibration certificate is available on request.

How long does it take to get results?

The turnaround depends on the tests requested; we confirm it with your quote. Compressive strength results follow the test ages specified for your specimens.

How can I check that a report is genuine?

Every report carries a QR code, a report number and a verification code. Anyone can check it on our Verify a Report page.
